John Lyle and Mark Umbach's shared passion for art, architecture, and furniture led to the formation of Lyle and Umbach, Ltd. in 1985.
The growing collection of indoor and outdoor furnishings, lighting, and fireplace accessories is individually hand-crafted by artisans, emulating the meticulous craftsmanship of the past. Lyle and Umbach, Ltd. offers a well-rounded collection with an eye toward detail and enduring quality. Designs are executed in a variety of exotic woods, and in steel, bronze, aluminum, parchment, lacquered linen, and antique bamboo matting.
A variety of finishes are available, and pieces can be customized to various size and color specifications.
Lyle and Umbach, Ltd.'s furnishings and interior design projects have been featured in (among many others): The New York Times Sunday Magazine, Interior Design, House & Garden, Elle Décor, House Beautiful, Veranda, an episode of "Homes Across America" for HGTV, and Architectural Digest.
